Choosing your hair accessory
We recommend opting for accessories with a strong grip, like claw clips with closely-set teeth. Smaller hair slides and clips are also a good choice as they are lighter and less likely to slip position or fall out. Scrunchies provide a great, versatile solution to keeping hair in place as they can be twisted and placed to fit any thickness of hair.
Sturdy accessories, such as claw clips, with smooth edges are great as they avoid snagging. Larger sized, wide toothed claw clips are ideal as they are better suited to holding heavier, thicker locks without sliding out or worse, breaking. Scrunchies are ideal for curls to keep hair in place, especially if you are looking for a half-up, half-down style. Larger barrette clips are also great for thick or curly hair as they can accommodate significant amounts of hair without being too tight or slipping down.
There are no hard and fast rules around what colour hair accessory works best for your hair. But remember, creating the look you want is also about considering what works well with your skin tone, the material and wether you are looking for contrast or harmony for your hair.
- Blondes: As a general rule, soft pastels suite light blondes, while warmer colours suit medium/dark blondes. But contrasting colours also provide great stand-out.
- Brunettes: Deep blues, bronzes and greens create a rich contrast for light brown hair. Jewel tones and brights suit dark brown/black hair. But pale shades and pastels can also create stand-out contrast to stunning effect.
- Redheads: earthy tones and warm spring colours complement red tones beautifully.
- Small or mini claw clips: Use these to hold back small sections of hair or for half-up styles.
- Lightweight hair pins, slides and clips: These are a good option to keep hair in place without overwhelm.
- Medium sized claw clips: Use these for a versatile range of uses including french twists or up-do hair styles.
- Scrunchies: Use scrunchies to create short ponytails, or for half-up, half-down hair styles.
- Barrette clips: A versatile choice for keeping hair back from your face, or securing larger sections of hair in a twist and secure style.
- Hair slides and clips: Great for sectioning hair and getting creative.
- Hair sticks and pins with a short to medium length are great when used singly or several in combination to secure hair in place.
- Large claw clips: Because larger claw clips tend to have sider teeth and better capacity, they are great for creating voluminous up-dos and supporting cascading locks.
- Scrunchies: Use scrunchies to create short ponytails, or for half-up, half-down hair styles.
- Barrette clips: A versatile choice for keeping hair back from your face. Use larger clips with good depth to or secure larger sections of hair.
- Hair slides and clips: Great for sectioning hair and getting creative.
- Hair sticks and pins with a longer length are great when using several to secure hair in place.

Our products
Cellulose acetate is derived from renewable sources like wood pulp from sustainably managed forests and cotton linters, unlike conventional plastics that come from fossil fuels. It can break down into its base components (cellulose and acetic acid) in the natural environment through the action of water and microorganisms, eventually returning to the environment.
In "eco-acetate" products, bio-based plasticisers (like citric acid esters) are used instead of toxic phthalates, making the final product safer and more biodegradable.
Our hair ties, scrunchies and fabric/textile-based products are not waterproof. Hair clips and acetate-based products may be used on wet hair, however we do not recommend submerging under water for extended periods of time.
Our travel brushes are made with bore bristles. Please clean the brushes using a wide tooth comb or cloth to remove dirt and hair. Do not submerge in water as they are made out of wood and it will compromise the bristles and wood.
